Suset Beach Resort Jamaica

As the Sunset Beach resort is family friendly there is plenty of activities and entertainment to suit everyone from kids to adults.  If you are staying for at least one week you will get to join in one beach party and barbecue during your stay. The various bars have their own individual style of entertainment from pianists to livelier dancing. Each day the resort runs a range of activities either on the beach or the surrounding areas. These are along the lines of sightseeing tours, non motorised sports in the ocean, team sports on the beach such as volley ball and underwater activities like snorkelling in the beautiful clear waters and much more.

The main attraction of this resort for families is the Pirates Paradise Water Park which features a selection of water slides, one of which is 35 ft high, water chutes, centred around a castle with pirates of the Caribbean themed boats for children to play in and hot tubs for the adults. Along with the amazing water park the resort has three freshwater swimming pools one of which has a swim up bar. If you want to avoid the pools you can choose from one of the three beaches surrounding the resort. One beach is clothing optional, perfect for the adults who don’t want to get tan lines!

The rooms at the Sunset Beach Resort are colourfully decorated giving a real authentic Caribbean feel to the rooms. The large standard rooms come with a king size bed, air conditioning, TV, ironing board, hairdryer and a balcony all of which you would expect from four star luxury accommodation. The standard room can fit a family of two adults and two children under 16. All standard rooms have a garden view and the opportunity to upgrade to a bay or ocean view room at an additional cost so you can awake each morning looking over the glistening ocean. For larger families there is a selection of two room suites which consist of a bedroom and living room as well as additional extras in the form of two 50 inch TVs and whirlpool baths.

The all inclusive package at the resort makes the holiday a lot less hassle and much better value for those with children who will need to drink a lot in the hot weather which would end up costly. The package includes all meals in the choice of restaurants, drinks and afternoon tea. There are three a la carte restaurants at the resort and these serve Asian, Italian and Caribbean food so there is something to suit most tastes. A buffet style restaurant serves a range of food from all over the world and it has special sections just for kids. You can’t go to the Caribbean and not taste some real authentic jerk chicken which is available from the Sunset Beach Grill snack bar along with other burgers and grilled food, served all day. The resort has a selection of bars to choose from depending on your preference for destination, décor and entertainment; these serve a range of soft, alcoholic and tropical drinks all of which are included in your all inclusive package.

Additional facilities for children staying at the resort include a playground and kids club for children aged 2 to 12 years and a teen activity centre. For adults there is a spa to enjoy with a range of treatments, saunas and massages at an additional cost.

All in all the Sunset Beach Resort is a fabulous beach resort for families with lots to keep you and your children occupied and having fun throughout your stay.
